Muli Bwa fam,
Yeah, so I'm much better this week than last week LOL. We had transfer news this past Saturday and none of the Sisters in my flat, including me, are getting transferred.😂 LIBALA gang gang.🤘🏼 Sister Katoa will continue being my trainer, so we in for another fun 6 weeks. Not gonna lie, I wanted to get out of the city and go to the bush bruh.🤣 I ain't one for the city, but the Lord wants me here so I'm all for what the Lord wants and where he needs me to be.
If there is anything from this past week, I'm just so grateful for my district.😭❤️ My first ever district on mission and the Lord for sure blessed me with a good group. We have short Elder Sibanda (Zone Leader) who has completed his 2 years and leaving this transfer. And tall Elder Sibanda (District Leader) who is transferring to Malawi.
Not gonna lie, I wanted to fight my District Leader last week because he threw a chip at my face. I got problems man because, Y'ALL IT WAS JUST A CHIP BUT THAT ONE CHIP SENT ME. I scared everyone in my district with how mad I got because I went silent but my angry vibes were LOUD.💀 It was crickets, my face looked like the wrath of all my ancestors if someone pissed them off. KALOFAE to my whole district. I felt so bad for making them all feel the way they did around me because I was about to fight everyone and they mama. 😅 Repentance is real and I'm so grateful for it. I apologized to my District Leader because he felt so bad and I felt bad for making him continue to feel bad because I didn't want to talk I just wanted to throw hands.🤦🏽♀️ Anways long story short (even though I pretty much told the whole story AHAHAHA) I love Elder Sibanda, my District Leader. That's my brother in Christ. We good now lol. He taught me a good lesson by throwing that chip at my face.💀
The lesson I learned in that particular situation is to strive to focus outward than inward. Yeah, it's natural to think about ourselves in situations like that, but focusing outward helps us become more like our Savior. He was always thinking of others than himself, ESPECIALLY in those situations where he was mocked, mistreated, and even betrayed. Y'all this restored gospel is life-changing and the solution to anything and everything is always our Savior, Jesus Christ.🙏🏽🤍 I love Him and know He lives. I am the most imperfect representative of Him, but because of all He's done for me, I would do anything for Him.
I love you all. I love this gospel. I love the people He has prepared in Zambia and Malawi for us missionaries in the Zambia Lusaka Mission 🇿🇲 🇲🇼. (Even if they call me Chinese every single day smh haha). They truly bless my life more than me blessing theirs FRFR. I invite y'all to love one another and don't throw chips at people's faces. K, yeah fa.
Tall Elder Sibanda (District Leader) We homies now. My bestie frenemy AHAHAHA
District Council/Lunch Tingz 😆😂
These young bruvvaz we met on the street playing volleyball as we were walking home from our area. We joined in and beat them. OKAYYYY 🫡😌
Goodbye to our azungu district bruddah, Elder Peschen. He's from Zambia but was waiting for his mission to go to his original mission in South Africa. 🇿🇦
Bye bye to short Elder Sibanda (on the left of me). Honorably completed his 2 year mission. He said he knows I love food because out of all his 2 years serving, he ain't ever heard any American, but me, talk about how small the food portion sizes are here in Zambia. ☠️
Lactose intolerant where? Even in Africa, I will continue to fight for my life. 😁
Libala District Gang Gang ❤️
The day the chip was thrown at my face. Look how happy I am and look how far back, and away, my district leader is from me.🤣🤣🤣🤣
My brekky cuz even in Africa, I'm broke but blessed and healthy ESKEDITTT. Yall I don't even know what kine cereal this is. It tastes like nothing. 🤣
Unko Mika,
Dang Alema its so good to see you just grinding!!!! Haha Me and Jay are rooting for you over here!!! I miss our hangouts with you but we are so grateful to see the huge steps you have been making to become a true follower of Christ. I wanna share this with you because someone shared it with me and its definitely what I needed to hear and see right now, Maybe it will do the same for you.
Having faith/belief in yourself and what God can do with you brings great power.
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen—so faith must be based in truth to have power.
Those righteous individuals who created the foundations of our country had mighty faith that we must also have and exercise.
1 Nephi 13:16 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld that the Gentiles who had gone forth out of captivity did humble themselves before the Lord; and the power of the Lord was with them.
Satans minions have no power—only as we give it to them by not doing what God asks us to do:
D&C 29:29 …for where I am they cannot come, for they have no power.
Keep grinding young one and just follow the spirit!! Live this time to the fullest. Go outside of your comfort box and trust in the lord...He will always deliver you. Meet people and share his word!! I know you will do it!! Love you!
Your Uncs- Mika
Today is a different day to go to work at the Temple. Since Mika has started with this new job/venture, he has been extremely busy with zoom meeting, outbound calls and scheduling, that he couldn't make it to the temple. It was weird going by myself but it didn't bother me too much. Since I've been working all week and driving to do my serves and work at the Hotel. I mentioned to Mika that regauof this new job trying to make more mo ey, he still needs to do his spiritual work too. This is a great reminder to always focus on God's work that he may make our regular work go smoothly and successfully. Have a blessed day everyone.
This hymn message stood out to me during preparation meeting. It is found on page 165 & 243 of the hymn book.
Abide with me; Tis eventide (#165)
Abide with me; ’tis eventide.
The day is past and gone;
The shadows of the evening fall;
The night is coming on.
Within my heart a welcome guest,
Within my home abide.
O Savior, stay this night with me;
Behold, ’tis eventide.
O Savior, stay this night with me;
Behold, ’tis eventide.
Abide with me; ’tis eventide.
Thy walk today with me
Has made my heart within me burn,
As I communed with thee.
Thy earnest words have filled my soul
And kept me near thy side.
O Savior, stay this night with me;
Behold, ’tis eventide.
O Savior, stay this night with me;
Behold, ’tis eventide.
Abide with me; ’tis eventide,
And lone will be the night
If I cannot commune with thee
Nor find in thee my light.
The darkness of the world, I fear,
Would in my home abide.
O Savior, stay this night with me;
Behold, ’tis eventide.
O Savior, stay this night with me;
Behold, ’tis eventide.
Let Us All Press On (#243)
Let us all press on in the work of the Lord,
That when life is o’er we may gain a reward;
In the fight for right let us wield a sword,
The mighty sword of truth.
(SA): Fear not, though the enemy deride;
Courage, for the Lord is on our side.
We will heed not what the wicked may say,
But the Lord alone we will obey.
(TB): Fear not, courage, though the enemy deride.
We must be victorious, for the Lord is on our side.
We’ll not fear the wicked nor give heed to what they say,
But the Lord, our Heav’nly Father, him alone we will obey.
We will not retreat, though our numbers may be few
When compared with the opposite host in view;
But an unseen pow’r will aid me and you
In the glorious cause of truth.
(SA): Fear not, though the enemy deride;
If we do what’s right we have no need to fear,
For the Lord, our helper, will ever be near;
In the days of trial his Saints he will cheer,
And prosper the cause of truth.
(SA): Fear not, though the enemy deride;
Courage, for the Lord is on our side.
We will heed not what the wicked may say,
But the Lord alone we will obey.
(TB): Fear not, courage, though the enemy deride.
