Not sure what I am getting myself I to but Mika and I are trying to shed some pounds and feel better about ourselves. So we are jumping into it this week. For myself I'll go partial this week and next week go full on. Due to other foods we have that not part of the diet, I don't want to waste it and eat it during this diet. So we shall see how things go with this diet. Mika wa Ted to do this for a month and see how it goes if we want to continue with it or not. I'll post our progress throughout the month. Wish me luck. Have a great week everyone.
“Forgiveness is freeing up and putting to better use the energy once consumed by holding grudges, harboring resentments, and nursing unhealed wounds. It is rediscovering the strengths we always had and relocating our limitless capacity to understand and accept other people and ourselves.”
Learning to let go is hard but it can be easy with Jesus. It can take time to heal and we shouldn't expect others to understand or heal the way you do. We shouldn't let how others cope, deal and handle their healing process affect how we heal when forgiving others. Let God heal you.
When we suffer or struggle with all the burdens we deal with, remember that Jesus Christ suffered too. We may not be him in how he handled his sufferings, but we can strive to do our best how we should handle our struggles. May we live and learn the Savior way of doing that we may have peace in our lives.
This weekend is one of those weekends that you just want to relax and listen to the wonderful talks given by the General Authorities in peace. No disturbance or interruptions. So far its been that way until my husband wanted to invite other people to join. In all honesty, I hate hosting, even if its my own family. I don't like worrying about things, when I want to focus on spiritual things. Yes I know, this will bring humility and learning, but to me its annoying and it stresses me out. I truly pray for peace and serenity tomorrow. But as for today, I enjoyed the messages from Church leaders and the Holy Spirit was felt throughout the sessions. The talk that stood out to me was from Brother Carl B. Cook. He talked about overcoming discouragement in whatever we are going through, by looking to the Lord for peace and comfort. Another talk that stood out was by Brother Allen D. Haynie. He talked about Following the Prophet because God has prepared him to help us in these latter days and that the prophet was called, corrected, inspired, rebuked, sanctified and sustained. That is why we will never be spiritually at risk when we follow his prophetic counsel. There were many other wonderful talks, but these two stood out to me during todays sessions of conference. I am excited to hear what the messages will be for tomorrow and praying for more wisdom and guidance from the prophet of the Lord. God bless you all and may the Lord protect you this weekend.
