Elder Maikeli C Wolfgramm email: ELDER WOLFGRAMM🇹🇴
Yoo what's good family friends! How you guys doing? Lol l if you read this part let me know how you and your family is doing! Always good to hear from back home.
I'm still out here on the small island Uiha it's been 4 months now since I got here.
Just me my comp and the people here on this island. I pray everyday to stay out here longer cause I love this place. It really feels like home, and the people family. I last updated about 3 weeks ago and I got a new comp Elder Levatau... So far the past 3 weeks with him have been a blast!! I guess the Lord just keeps blessing me with good comps. Levatau has only been out here since July so he's still a little new to the language. I still struggle with it everyy now and then but it has been nice being able to help, and give him tips.
About 2 weeks ago me and Elder Levatau went on a 2 day fishing trip with our Branch president in Felemea. We went to this small island called Uanukuhihifo and it was cool cause it was super small, just coconut trees, and nobody lives there.I guess our Branch president's family owns it and has pigs there. Sleeping two nights on the beach, right on the sand with a bonfire, and the stars, was special! The beach there was beautiful 😍🌠🏖 During that trip we also ate super good. Ota ika, Tunu puaka, tunu Sipi maan! Don't worry we went to help them get fish, and get two pigs haha.
The reason we were getting this food was to welcome Elder Tuione (Area 70 here in Tonga), as well as the stake President, with a big welcome feast. He was coming Monday to check up on Felemea and prior to his visit me and my comp were able to help prepare all the food with our members so that was fun.
During our eating the stake President's wife asked me "How is work in Felemea?" I told her I love it and that it is a special place to me. She then asked "Why is it special to you?" I explained how it is the home grounds of my Grandma Salote Fakatou Wolfgramm. When she and others heard this they were shocked, and the table got a little quiet... At the end of our eating Elder Tuione gave message and he shared how he heard me mention that I was Iohani and Salotes grandson. He said there is no doubt that I am serving here. It was so special hearing him talk highly of my family and I don't say that with boast but I say that because I am grateful for the example my grandparents set for me and many others. The spirit was very strong in the room, I could definitely feel my grandparents spirits.🤍
Last week after Tuione's visit me and my companion rushed over on a boat to Pangai to do our Zone conference with President Kaufusi and the Ha'apai missionaries. It ended up being a great 2 day Zonecon so much I learned that will be useful for my work. We finished the conference with a testimony meeting and it was very spiritual I was grateful to share my testimony with our mission president and the missionaries serving here in Haapai. Oh yea also our mission president rewarded me and my comp with a washing machine. Felt like Christmas lol tired of using the bucket. Mind you this was just me and my comp. Must be doing something right over here in Uiha 🤷♀️😅!
We've been back here in Uiha for a week and just trying to keep the work going. Suprislingy have been pretty busy, from teaching institute class, kids, helping our members in uta just normal missionary work ee! Like I said I love it everyday, and count the blessing to be here.
It is currently Sunday evening and we just watched Genereal conference yesterday and today because Tonga waits a week to have the translation. Soo many VALUABLE messages were shared this Octobers conference. We are so blessed to hear from a living Prophet, apostles, and leaders leading us in these Latter days. If you haven't already I encourage you all to listen to a talk from this past week. No matter what your beliefs are I promise to you all these messages will only better your life and bring you closer to the Savior. If you are looking for a talk I encourage you to listen Bishop L. Todd Budge "Seek Him with All Your Heart". There was many talks shared that I liked but this is one that I really like.
This Gospel has changed my life and truly brought me to know the Savior Jesus Christ. My purpose is to invite others to expirence the blessings of his his gospel.
Love you all -Elder Wolfgramm
