Everyday or should I say every other day I would try to make something I haven't done but cold dishes to eat. This summer heat has been killing me softly and I trying not to melt during the process of living. But as I am keeping myself cool, I felt like eating a salad. So I went to the store bought rotini pasta, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, black olives, onions, and bell peppers. I already had Italian dressing, spam, minced garlic and seasoning. I prepped the ingredients by chopping the veggies and spam. Cooke the pasta for 6 minutes on high boil, drain and put in big bow. Add the veggies, Italian dressing and seasoning to taste and boom, pasta salad. It you want details on recipe, you can find any one you want to try online or on youtube. I didn't follow any particular recipe, I just went based on what I like in a pasta salad and put it together. Whatever you like in a salad, create your own dish and make it great. Good luck and happy eating everyone!
I've been recovering slowly this week since I've been back from girls camp. My appetite has slowly return but its been hard since I'm always surrounded by the dang heat. Today I was thinking about what I am hungry for. So I thought to myself, "What do I have in my frig?". And then I remembered that I bought smoked sausage and I need to use it. So I quickly chopped some veggies that I had in the frig, fried it with the sausage, minced garlic and seasonings within 5-8 minutes and boom, dinner was ready. Majority of the time, I never know what the meal will turn out but I pray that it will be good since sometimes you are limited with ingredients to use. This meal was yummy with a a bowl or hot white rice or with potatoes. Either or it is delicious with any side dish you feel like eating it with. Well I am hungry and I'm going to eat this meal before it gets cold. okay, happy eating everyone!
I was craving manapua but did not have the right type of pork cuts to make char siu. So I had to improvise with what already have, which was shredded pork. I heated the pork on medium heat until it was cooked. Then I added the char siu sauce until the pork was lightly covered and cook it for 3 minutes. Once all of that is done, serve it with rice and garnish it with chopped green onions. It was yummy but I also added a bit of salt for taste. Even when you think it wont be good when you make a new dish from familiar foods, you'll be surprised at the results of it being really tasty. Good luck and happy eating to you!
