What a wonderful Thanksgiving I had with my siblings, Mika and Shela's family in Ferron Utah. It's located near Price Utah or south east of Salt Lake City. In a mining town that has about 2000 residents. Very small town but there is a ton of homes with land. Shela's family has a 2 homes on a 1 1/2 acer of land. Beautiful job on what they did with their property. I love the style of one story home they have. So homey and comfortable. Shela and her mom made a delicious food that we all enjoyed. We talked for a few hours and eating more food. We got a tour around the lake near by and the school Shela went to when she was young. I really enjoyed our time with the Baanter family, especially meeting Shela's parents, her brother Seth, her sister Natalie and boyfriend nick also Shela's friend Shauna. I hope that the Lord will bless Shela and her family for their love and hospitality they have shown me and my family. Henry, you got yourself a wonderful woman in Shela and amazing In-laws.
What a fantastic weekend! Our cabin buddies was my nieces, Anessa and Alema Atuaia. They're attending BYU Provo and wouldn't be with their family who resides in Cozet, Virginia this Thanksgiving holiday. So we made sure that they know they are more than welcome to join our little getaway. And I'm glad they did. These two bright young ladies has always been a joy to be around. We had a blast driving together to the cabins and hanging out in the cabins talking stories and laughing our brains off! It was also nice to see my nephews from Las Vegas to join us and spend time with them this weekend. There were 7 families together spending a fun and memorable weekend together at the Holmstead Ranch. Each of the families had their own cabin and we gathered together in the main hall to eat many fantastic meals. I'm glad that i was able to experience many wonderful memories with each family and friend. I hope we can do it again but during the summer time so we can do more out door activities. I know this time of year, everyone is trying to get things ready for family and friends to come over and have a wonderful time together, eating tons of yummy food and talk, laugh for hours. Being a bit older I realize how much I do love this time of year. Halloween will always be my favorite holiday, but Thanksgiving and Christmas will have a special place in my heart. This year my husband and I are in a wonderful secluded place in Veyo, Utah near St. George. It's a ranch called Holmstead Ranch. An old co-worker of mine lives up here and his father in law owns the 110 acres property. Its gorgeous and a wonderful place to have a nice get away, family reunion or family outing. So a few of Mika's sisters and their family wanted to come out there for a nice Thanksgiving vacation. And I'm so grateful that we came out here. It's a bit cold but so worth visiting. Every family member is ready to enjoy yummy meals and enjoy hanging out around the ranch. There's a man made lake to swim, play sports or relax at the deck. There are tons of beautiful cabins that fits 4 people and on the side there are smaller cabins that also fits 4 people but have to share a bathroom. We are lucky to have the nice family hall to host all our meals, games and entertainment. I really like this ranch. So much to see and so much to do. Tomorrow we are planning to go ski shooting. But we will see what other activities to do. Anyways, I'll post a few photos I took so far and upload more later. But I hope that everyone have a fantastic Thanksgiving with people who matters most.
