When it comes to making breakfast for me and Mika, I try to use whatever we have in the frig and majority of the time it works and some not so much. But I do like to make breakfast skillet, it is easy to make and delicious. Use any meat, eggs, hash browns and cheese, cook it and put it together and boom you got a meal. There are many recipes online that can help you whip up something good.
This is a great meal to make when you want something hardy and home made to eat. I usually don't make this but I am glad that I did. Now I want to try and make the biscuit from scratch.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving I had with my siblings, Mika and Shela's family in Ferron Utah. It's located near Price Utah or south east of Salt Lake City. In a mining town that has about 2000 residents. Very small town but there is a ton of homes with land. Shela's family has a 2 homes on a 1 1/2 acer of land. Beautiful job on what they did with their property. I love the style of one story home they have. So homey and comfortable. Shela and her mom made a delicious food that we all enjoyed. We talked for a few hours and eating more food. We got a tour around the lake near by and the school Shela went to when she was young. I really enjoyed our time with the Baanter family, especially meeting Shela's parents, her brother Seth, her sister Natalie and boyfriend nick also Shela's friend Shauna. I hope that the Lord will bless Shela and her family for their love and hospitality they have shown me and my family. Henry, you got yourself a wonderful woman in Shela and amazing In-laws.
Mika and I were asked by our Bishop if we could host a pair of youth, who will be participating in the stake youth mini mission. We happily accepted and prepared our home for this weekend activity. The weeks prior was nerve racking for me, because we didn't have a bed for the youth who will be staying with us. The only bedding we had were air mattresses and Mika didn't want them to sleep on that. After consistent prayers and fasting, the Lord answered our prayers as Mika was guided to go into Facebook market place to look for a bed and he found a woman who was trying to get rid of her trundle bed, a two twin bed that bed made into one king size. This bed was for sale for $50. What a blessing and a miracle! We both gave thanks to the Lord and now we were ready for the youth missionaries. I have prepared the room by moving a ton of our food storage to our master bedroom and rearrange the bed that it is will comfortable for the two youth kids to sleep. As the host family, the only thing the Bishop wanted us to have ready is a place to sleep and breakfast. We got everything set and now it finally came to the day of the event. Since it started on Friday, we went to the temple to work our ordinance shift and came home waiting for the youth to arrive at our home. Well when we arrived home, we got a call from the Bishop's wife informing us that we wouldn't be hosting the youth boys (Elders) since not all of them came, only 3 out of 6. So the boys stayed with another host family that had a bigger space for them. Mika and I were bummed out that we couldn't experience that but it was ok. We did however were the family that the boys came over to teach a lesson, like how they would do on the mission field. I believe this type of youth activities can truly help our youth want to serve the lord by preparing now to go on a mission when they are of age. When these boys came over, Mika and I already planed to act like a Christian family that heard about the church but don't know much. The boys gave their lessons and it was awesome. They were nervous but felt the spirt as they taught us. We did asked them hard questions but they did their best to answer it the best they can. After their lesson, we confessed to them that Mika and I are members of the church and that Mika was the 1st counselor of the Bishopric in our ward. They were shocked and said that we acted really well and we fooled them in believing that we were non members. Well on Sunday service the boys bared their testimony of their experience and they brought up their favorite experience was when they visited Mika and I. It was a touching moment for me and I thank the Lord for allowing Mika and I to experience this with them. This activity was a success even though we didn't host but we had a little part of their mini mission.
Every time we get the chance to go into the Temple with family members, it is special. This time we were able to witness our handsome nephew, Teancum in receiving his Temple endowments. I did enjoy this session because the Officiator had a funny sense of humor, which Mika said reminded him of his Dad. It was a spiritual and peaceful experience. Seeing Teancum all in white and so mature looking, brought tears in my eyes. He was focused and trying his best to follow along session. I noticed his uncle Donny A. was helping him through it all, since his dad couldn't make it, he was at an away football game he had to coach. A blessed day for everyone who came out to support him, especially for his mom, Liz, who sat next to me full of joy and tears. I felt her joy as a proud and happy mama. Congrats to you Teancum. May the Lord guide you and encourage you to go to the House of the Lord often to gain a higher and holier understanding of God's purpose to life now and for the eternities.
It has been 4 1/2 years since I had a new phone. The Samsung Galaxy 9 plus was good to me and now it has slowly showing signs of working slowly. I got the Samsung Galaxy 22s+ and it is nice. A bit slow at loading things at first but I was able to figure how to adjust and remove things that was making it slow. I like it and can't wait to see what cool things I can do with it. Photo walks here I come!
Sister Terri Salt came up with a cool activity with our 11-14 young women class, by having them come up with a pretend protect they want to sell to us. They use the poster to draw out what their product will be and come up with a Name, what the function of the item and how will they present it. There were 3 teams and they had 1 hour to come up with their product. It was cool to see them put their creative brains together and come up with products that can be useful and benefits if it were real. Thanks Terri and girls for creating and participating in tonights activity.
