Malolelei family friends! How you guys doing?

If you reading this let me know what's new in your life!

Thought I'd send a quick update on my life here in Hihifo, Haaapai, Tonga.

Last week I had the opportunity to go to Tongatapu (the main island) for a few day, it was for our "Meeting leadership council", and it was only the zone leaders that attended this council. We flew there on the small planes they have here in Tonga, and maan I could never get tired of those veiws, especially here in Haapai😍🏝. It was a two day council and those days were very productive, I learned lots of good stuff and it was nice seeing missionaries I havent seen in awhile. We also had the opportunity to go to the Temple two days in the evenings and this was the first time I've gone since I got here in January so a good 10+ months. Going to the Temple was definitely the highlight and something I didn't know I needed, mentally and spiritually. Since going it has boosted my drive in this work, made me happier, and has brought me Peace. It reminded me that the blessings that come from the House of the Lord are endless.

I also got to be companions with Elder Sakalia (from Tonga) he is the other Leader here in Haapai and it was a great experience to be with him because he is one of those guys I can definitely see being a future Bishop, Stake President. His love and energy is special just like our Saviors.

During our council our mission President and his wife challenged us to choose and develop Christlike attribute this month. I've felt lately that I need to work on patience, as it feels like my patience is tested often, during my work. There's a quote that I read and really liked from Elder Dieter F Uchtdorf:

"Patience means active waiting and enduring. It means staying with something and doing all that we can—working, hoping, and exercising faith; bearing hardship with fortitude, even when the desires of our hearts are delayed. Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!”

The last part really stuck out to me "Enduring well!"

Today me and my companion had the opportunity to give a talk and I always love when I get the opportunity to share my testimony. I talked about faith and how we need to constantly strengthen our faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. He's is our rock that will help us withstand the storms that we face in our lives.

I am very happy, and grateful to be serving the people here in Hihifo Haapai with my companion Elder Hu'ihahau. I am grateful for all your love and prayers. I know this work is truly of the Lord and I did not leave my home for two years to waste them.

I miss you all and love you lots. Ofa lahi atu -
