A good friend of the family Mike wanted to put together with a few of my sisters in law a party for Liz. She's a big harry potter fan and he thought it would be cool to create a theme party for her and have everyone in the family to dress up as Harry Potter Characters in the book. Everyone was excited and started to plan where we are going to have the party, the food, treats, games and characters. So I was in charge of selecting characters to random family members. I went online to find a name badge creator and added a few names of the family and the characters and found a match to each other and called everyone to let them know who they will be. This was one of the most fun planning and decorating. The main plan was to tell Liz there was a family meeting and everyone has to be there. On the side, we had her kids put Liz's harry Potter outfit in the car ready to go. We set up the party at Jenny's place in Highland and everyone brought snacks, food and drinks that is the theme of either Halloween or Harry Potter. My brother and sister joined in on the fun. A few family friends and cousins join in on it too. We were ready to go and have a great time. The day has arrived and everyone was ready for Liz to arrive at Jen's. Set up was easy and everything looked amazing. Soon Liz arrived not looking forward to this typical long family meeting. But to her surprise, she walked in and everyone screamed SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ! She was shocked and amazed that we planned this party for her especially in character. From there everyone went up to Liz to see if she could guess who is who. It was very hilarious cause with everyones creative costume choice it made the party even more funnier. The party was a success and we had a fun time.
