Malolelei sieku famili friends. Mou fefe hake?

I know it's been a little since I last sent something out but that's because I've actually suprislingy been pretty busy. Matter of fact this is probably so far the most busy I've been of the 1 year I've been here in Tonga. So here's a little update on my life and serving here in Tonga.

I'm still here in the same area Hihifo, Ha'apai trainning my companion Elder Hu'ihahau from Australia. For those that don't know Tonga, Ha'apai is a outer island that consist of multiple little islands and I've been here in Ha'apai for 7 months now. Because I've been here for quite sometime on this small island I know just about everyone here. I didn't know much at all about Ha'apai growing up, but now it will always be a special place to me. I love the people and the paradise of this island. I've been out just about 13 months now and it's crazy how fast time has gone.

Here in Ha'apai there is just one straight road that goes through one island and through the ocean to technically another island. Since I'm in leadership here, and only one that can drive, I have been pretty busy driving back and forth on that road from one side to the other here in Ha'apai. Whether running transfers, going to meetings, interviews or taking missionaries to the small town here so they can go to the store. There is only 10 of us missionaries here on the main island of Ha'apai and 12 others spread out on the outer small islands.

This past Friday a new mission couple arrived here to work in Ha'apai. Elder and Sister Roberts from Tooele Utah. I'm actually pretty happy about them being here so they can drive others around and do all that stuff. I'm excited to have them around too because they are pretty fun and have lots of good stories. I know the Lord called them to be here because of all the palangi mission couples they are the most fitting for Ha'apai. They are also the only palangi mission couple that is working on an outer island from the main island (Tongatapu) .

Today me and my companion both had the opportunity to give a talk in Sacrement meeting on the topic of "Ko e meʻaʻofa a Kalaisi."- "The Gift of Christ."

As I prepared this talk I thought about the many Gifts our Savior offers to all of us. His greatest, the Gift of the atonement, and the everlasting life he gives to all of us. I shared about the birth of Christ and how this event was a time of happiness and love. " 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

I also shared about how growing up Christmas to me was a time of opening presents but these gifts were all temporary happiness. Although I am far from my home and family during this time and may not open one gift on Christmas. I know this Christmas is special because I have received the greatest of all gifts.

I have received the gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ. There is no greater Love that I have felt during my work here in Tonga than the Love of the Savior.

I testify that Jesus lives and was born for us all. I am always grateful for this opportunity and the love all the people here on Tonga show to me. I miss and show my love to you all during this Christmas.
