Alma 26:12 "Yea I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Meta Koffmi? (How is everyone doing?) I hope everyone is doing great and not messing around with machetes lol! Note to self... So yupp Yap also known as Wa'ab is doing great I am finding that the weather is pretty much constant all year round which I am pretty much used to already... One thing I noticed is it rains a lot here and yeah I haven't been a day here without rain which is nice since I am from Arizona where it rarely rains but the only thing that sucks about rain is the humidity flies up to 100% so yeah it gets very very humid after the rain but hey at least when it rains it's cool haha. But yeah the food here is very good I love fish so thats not much a problem also they have this drink thats like otai but its with breadfruit and coconut called fifi which is amazing I love it! Also in other news my finger is healing up very nicely and I'll take a picture when it's not wrapped the doctors said "Your Lucky..." But I know that Heavenly Father has helped it heal very well and I continue to thank him for it. But onto what's happening in the mission field it truly is doing very well we are teaching a kid by the name of JV and his brother Jehu they are just great and they very interested and the other night I got to extend the invitation to be baptized and though at first he was uncertain but through the power of the Holy Ghost we were able to change his uncertainty to a yes... It was amzazing and I feel a love for him and his brother I hope to in the near future baptize him and his brother. Also we are making a lot of friends here and everyone is super nice accept for a few people who are rude but yeah we still try our best to be nice and curteous. Here on Yap me and my companion Elder Zonts teach what are known as the Outer Island people who have a completely different language and culture from the Yapese while in an Outer Island village is very open and you can walk up to anyone's home to visit in a Yapese village everything is hidden and you have to call out and have them accept you to go to their house also you have to carry a leaf in a Yapese village... no idea why but culture is very big here so I just follw their customs so I don't get beat up lol but for reals! Anyways I love teaching the Outer Island people they are all very humble and I am basically teaching the "lowly in heart..." They are an awesome people and I hope to continue to learn the language so I can be able to better teach to them! Anyways thats all for this week and I just want to continue to say thank you for all the support family and friends!! Yor yai gashangshang ngaligammi! (Here is my love to you guys!) And also Ofa Atu!!
This weeks email from Elder Wolfgramm was beautiful and spiritual. He is serving the people of Yap in Guam. There are just a few natives that speak their language of Yap and its not recorded or really known by many. Only 1500 people speaks it and he has slowly starting to get the hang of knowing a few words. The main thing that Grant notice about the people is that they really look, act and make food like other Polynesian cultures. So being Tongan himself, he felt like he was at home. Being with family and his people it was a no brainer to feel comfortable and get to know everyone. There was something about this people that he really feel a connection and a great importance of why he was sent there. He shared an experience while out working, he was using a machete and almost cut his finger off!! Oh no!! I was surprised when he mentioned that in the email. But he reassured us but sharing what happened afterwards. He had his companion to bless his finger that it will be ok. Such faith he has and I'm happy that he is doing ok. The food however is amazing! He gets fed on the daily and he doesn't need to worry about starving!! lol Well that a little bit of Elder Grant Wolfgramm's few weeks been so far and as always excited to hear more stories in the near future!
Luv ya Elder Wolfgramm!

Meta koffmi? I hope you are doing great it has been a funny week this week... So it starts off with monday we went and had a barbecue with some investigators and some members and that was a lot of fun we ate mango, bananna, chicken, crab, taro, breadfruit, and some local beer... haha just kidding you really think I drink that crap lol it was cocunuts that's just the islanders slang for it. I do got say I love the food it is amazing and yes it does remind me a lot of polynesian food. But yeah this week did have a bit of a downer and it was when we had one of our investigators have her Baptismal Interview because she was supposed to be baptized this last Saturday she was straight up chewing betelnut and if you don't know what that is it's a nut that is grown on a tree here and it actually can be grown anywhere it is tropical what people do is they get the betelnut put in a tobacco leaf and lime and this isn't the lime you know it's coral that is grinded up and is actually poisonous and they put it in their mouth and let it swirl around afterwards they spit it out and it leaves their teeth red... so if you think about it they are throwing poison in their mouth just so they can get a high off of it... Yeah it really is just plain stupid but hey its a real problem here. But back to the story she was chewing betelnut during the interview and afterwards we asked her if she was and she said in Ulithian "Yupp" and than we asked her if she even wanted to be baptized and she said she didn't know anymore. And that really hurt us... but hey you know everyone has their time though it sucks but I guess you could say that this is the first time I experienced something like that.
On the other hand, we are know teaching three brothers their names are JV, Jehu, and Slayton and they are one of the best things so what happned was we were originally only teaching JV and Jehu but than their youngest brother was actually just listening in on one of our lessons and afterwards was looking through one of our books that had a bunch a pictures in it he was looking through the Bible pictures and he knew what they all were but than we came to the Book of Mormon pictures and I got to explain some of the stories of the Book of Mormon using those pictures. Than right before we were leaving he asked us if we were coming back tomorrow and we said yes he than said "Good! I want to learn too!" And the next day we taught all of them and throughout the week everytime we finished a lesson they always ask us excitedly "Are you guys coming back tomorrow?" I truly love those brothers they are awesome and I love teaching them... Also it's funny one day I went there and there was a bunch of kids there and they always speak to me in Woleaian and I try my best to understand and talk back but I have a hard time so they usually all gather around me and than they teach me all these different words and since they are young if I say it wrong they straight up laugh at and say "That's wrong!!" It is hilarious and actually those kids teach me a lot of things and they are always helping me and someone later told me that the best way to learn is to talk with the kids... Anyways my favorite thing of all week was when we met with this family who my companion had known a very little bit about and when we taught both me and my companion poured our hearts out to them as we bore our testimonies to them and we knew the spirit was there we felt it and we knew they did too... That lesson is the kind of lesson I am out here for to feel so much love for someone we had only just met it was amazing! Well I just want say go sa gashigasig (thank you) to everyone who is supporting me I love you all and I hope to carry the Wolfgramm name well! Ilanga (Goodbye) until next monday much love to all yallz!
Sincerely,
Elder Wolfgramm
P.S. Sorry I didn't get any photos this week I always forget to but don't worry I will this week!!
It's crazy how many people are going gong hole crazy about this app!! Pokemon Go came out just a few days ago and there are so many people hanging out at many locations around the world trying to catch Pokemon...and we got caught into the mix. We were also joined by Mika's little sister Tiare and her husband Ila. It was fun and we got a ton of exercise while participating in the movement!
I was never a big fan of this craze but my husband and brother wanted to have a little hangout moment with other people to see what can we catch. we shall see how long this game will last...
Mika and I put a missionary care package for Elder Wolfgramm in Guam. We just picked out a few things to help him out while doing the Lord's work. Oh we made sure to ask him what he likes so that it wont be a waste. But I know even if he didnt like it, he will still make a use of it. This is one out of many...I hope! Enjoy Elder Wolfgramm!!
Elder Wolfgramm hanging out with the other missionaries in his district. As you can see they are being funny and silly for the camera. I'm glad that he is doing well and working hard out in Guam, serving the people and sharing the gospel to all those who've listened. I can't wait to hear more awesome stories from his emails. Stay cool and hydrated!!
Luv ya Elder Grant Wolfgramm!
