Tonight the Young Women combine activity was a Get to Know You games, for all the girls to get acquainted with all the new girls that came from Primary and those who aren't active in church. It was fun to see them remember each others names and create fun memories.

The boys learn how to play Pickleball and it was a good challenge for each of them to help out the younger boys in working together with them and to be supportive towards one another. They had a good time with this game.

The Elders Quorum and the Young Men playing their weekly basketball games. A great turnout which it has been for awhile.

Okay for the past few days, Mika and I are playing the new Harry Potter Legacy game on the PS5 and it is awesome. Since we've been playing this game, we were craving Butterbeer soda and we went to FIIZ drink join in Murray to get some. It was totally worth it and our craving was satisfied. I am happy now and I'm ready to take on the next wizard challenge in Hogwarts. Have a great evening everyone!

Mika wanted to watch the new Ant Man movie, so for Family Home Evening, we watched Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantamania. Before we watch the movie, we went to eat at Burger King just to fill out tummies with food. It was good as usual. We went to our old stomping ground in South Salt Lake and went to the Cinemark Theater on 33rd south. This theater has the sofa comfy seats, which we like and I enjoy getting popcorn with tons of butter to make my hurricane popcorn mix with. We were the only one's in the theater and it was nice not to worry about noise from other people. Now the movie we came to watch, Ant Man. Overall it was an decent movie with awesome graphics and some actions. But there were a few things that seems rushed or putting a lot in a small moment. The storyline was ok but seems all over the place. Not my favorite movie but it was ok for wha it was. If you like marvel, go and watch it but be open minded to what you get out of the movie plot.

I know some may say that this dish reminds them of tater tot casserole and it may be, but it's more like smush to me. It was still yummy but I probably would of baked the tater tots a bit more to get a bit of a crisp to it. Other than that it was still good but my least favorite dish to make.

It's another great day to work at the Temple after a big storm. And I look forward to service in his Holy House and to feel his love throughout my shift. During our meeting today, they told us the temple was closed on Wednesday and yesterday, due to the big amount of snow that we got and it was hard for the plowers to remove the snow. But today they were able to clear enough for everyone to visit the temple. It was a wonderful shift and I was happy to participate in helping with Initiatories and the Veil. Seeing the smile, the light of Christ in the patrons face, always brings joy to me. Also during our prep meeting, the Matron discuss about the importance of emergency preparedness and being aware of all the exits, where to go during an evacuations, helping others in our different post and making sure to keep everyone safe and how to handle properly the removal of temple clothing if need to evacuate. So many things was running through my heading throughout the meeting and during my shift. A question came to my mind, what if a earthquake happened during my shift? How will I handle myself? Will I remember what was taught during an emergency? And many other questions. But then another thought came to me, Jaylynn, why are you asking these questions, when you already know the answer? Don't doubt or lose your faith. I am here with you and will protect you in my House. I felt at peace and knew right away that the Lord wanted me to know that everything will be find, as long as I continue to have faith and trust in him. No matter what happens outside of the temple, from calamities and evil, but the inside of the Temple will always be safe and protected by him who is all powerful and glorious, Jesus Christ. I am thankful for that little spiritual moment in the Temple and I hope and pray for more inspirations to help strengthen my faith in God. Have a bless day everyone!

I was in the mood to eat Tuna and I had a few veggies in the frig. So i chopped up some celery and carrots, mixed the tune with some mayo and seasoning and boom, I got my snacks. Sometimes you just got to fill your stomach with some healthier options, because it needs some better nutrients than what we sometimes feed it. I am so guilty on this topic. But once in awhile I would cleanse my system with better stuff, and today is one of those days. Well have a great and better day everyone!

I have a ton of veggies and a pack of chicken breast that I wanted to make a soup during this winter storm. Since we can't get out of our place, I am thankful to have listen to the Holy Spirit yesterday, before the storm to fill up my car with gas, get some essential groceries to hold us up for the week. And now I am making soup to keep us warm and toasty tonight. I copped and boiled the potatoes, carrots and celery with chicken broth while I was frying up the chicken with garlic, onions and seasoning. This took about 45-60 minutes to prepare and cook. It turned out great and delicious. Majority of what I cook is an eyeball measuring and taste as I go kind of cooking. I guess I get that from my mom, especially the way she cook. I hope everyone that is impacted by the snow is safe and warm. Be safe everyone, wherever you may be.

I've been waiting for this storm for awhile and it finally came. Where I live we got 12 inches of snow but in all honestly it felt like it was more snow. I enjoy chilling at home when it is snowing, because I get to snuggle in my blanket and drink a hot drink or eat a yummy stew. I also heard that the snow was so bad, the state closed a ton of roads, business and the Temple. Usually the snow isn't that bad, but this storm was. I also checked on my family to make sure that they were ok and they were.

Since I was already up, made a hardy and yummy breakfast for me and Mika. It may not look much, but it is something divine to us. A hole in one with crispy bacon. Plus I had to eat this with a nice tropical mix drink, a walk on the beach to wash it down. It is a good meal to start off the day right.

Going to lunch with Mike and Mika at Shake Shack was nice and refreshing. Mika was kind enough to pick us up and take us to our YSA house to feed her chinchilla. We couldn't drive our car since the insurance was expired and Mika forgot to pay it, so he updated it but it wouldn't be in affect until tomorrow. Thats why he called Mike. And since he gave a us a ride, we treated him out to lunch. The food was good, a bit expensive but we enjoyed our meal. I tried their truffle fries and as to what I can taste, it was ok. I wont get it again but at least I tried it. I prefer getting a chicken burger with regular fries with nothing on it. Its a good place, but you have to order everything separate since thats how their ordering system works, no combo or meals, just individual items. Anyways, happy eating everyone.

On a previous post, I mentioned that Mika and I feed a Chinchilla for one of our YSA in our ward. She left a gift for me and a card. I received a lotion set and a kind card for Mika and I, as she thanked us for feeding her pet Chinchilla on Friday and today, Saturday. After receiving the gift, I text her for it and was happy to help her out. It is nice to serve in any way and I hope to do more service in the near future.

I was lazy and craving fried rice. So after a good night at the Temple, a simple meal was needed. It was yummy and fulfilling.

One of our YSA had a pet Chinchilla and needed help feeding it while she was away out of town. So Mika and I agreed to help for the weekend to go over to her place and feed her pet. It was small like a rabbit but look like a rat. It was cool to do a simple service for someone in our ward.

Okay, I think that I made my favorite drink mix. It is sweet and a bit tangy, which makes it more enjoyable but with a kick of fizz. I call this "A walk on the Beach". Well because it reminded me of sipping on a fruity drink on the beach in Hawaii. And why not call it this. Even though there may be a real drink that it call the same, but this is a virgin version. :)

For a personal size drink this is what I used:

1/4 cup of Orange juice
1/2 cup of Cranberry and Pineapple juice mix
1/2 cup of Ginger Ale
(I used Canada Dry but you can use any brand or Sprite or 7up)
1/4 cup of Ice

I didn't add ice since my the drinks were already cold, so that it optional.
If you want to make a big or party version size, I would do this:

1 gallon of Orange Juice
1 1/2 gallon of Cranberry & Pineapple Juice mix
2 bottles of a 2 liter of Ginger Ale
1 10 pound bag of Ice
(add more of the juices to your taste preference)

This is a fabulous mixture and it reminded me of a Starburst candy. Give it a try if you like sweet drinks or need a new kind of drinks to add to your meals.
