Saturday Afternoon Session Notes

October 3, 2026

Conducting: Elder Neil L. Andersen

Choir — “All Creatures of Our God and King”

Elder Dale G. Renlund

Don’t be too quick to complain when hard times come or when you face trials.

“Why don’t they trust in Me?” — God

“I will never break My promise to you.”

In the world, you will have tribulation, but fear not and trust in God, for He will protect and comfort you. Faith in Jesus Christ will release us from harm and trials.

You are redeemed because of the Redeemer. We are not cast out forever.

The Lord has been merciful to us, and we must continue to grasp the bigger picture by trusting in God. Read the scriptures to find the blessings in them for you.

You are good enough and extraordinary in the Lord’s eyes. You can rely on God’s promises.

The power of the Savior is intimate and infinite for us to grasp. Trust in His promises for you.

Stand on the promises that cannot fail.

President Timothy Farnes

Sometimes we question why things happen and refuse to receive revelation from God.

Tell me how you are really feeling?

Acts of compassion reflect and help us understand the goodness in God’s purpose.

Are you willing to feel, see, and do what God needs of you?

Will I do what the Savior did toward His children?

What are my divine appointments?

Do I know what my mission is?

Do I have real compassion like Jesus Christ?

See the person God places in front of us.

Put compassion into action.

Christian C. Chigbundu

Immunity is protection from foreign invaders. Spiritual immunity is something we can all struggle with if we don’t stay close to God.

It’s through small and simple things that bigger things will come to pass.

How are you dealing with life’s challenges?

Are you inviting the Holy Ghost into your life?

Do you have a testimony of the Book of Mormon?

Search the scriptures diligently. Pray unto God with humility and seek guidance and peace.

What are you truly seeking for yourself?

How do I know God loves me?

Are you praying in faith or frustration?

Are you taking the name of Jesus Christ upon yourself and into your life?

What can you learn or change in your daily life to be nearer unto God and hear Him?

Are you following the commandments of God?

Are you staying worthy to enter into the house of the Lord?

Tithing is part of our charity journey in this life. Blessings do come when we faithfully pay our tithes.

If we are struggling to pay tithing because of whatever circumstances we are facing, call upon the Lord for guidance and peace. Trust in faith to know how, when, and where you can produce, receive, or give your donation for tithes.

God knows our circumstances, and He will always provide a way for it to be done.

God will provide stability for our needs when we faithfully seek Him, trust Him, and love Him in ALL that He has done and will do for us.

Let us not refuse to pay tithing.

Don’t rob God in our tithes!

Jeremiah Morgan

Remember the new covenant, which is the Book of Mormon. Read it and seek its truth through the Holy Spirit.

Seek the Lord to find truth in the gospel through prayer.

It’s okay to have questions.

Ratify it with Him who knows how to fill your mind and touch your heart so you can know its truth through prayer.

Don’t take a day off from seeking the Lord.

The power of God can be upon us as we faithfully seek Him. There are no limits to the power of God. We are the beneficiaries of that power and those blessings.

You have not traveled far enough to not receive the blessings or power of God.

Our family’s story is not fully written. Only God can write it.

Hutch Fale

We are sons and daughters of amazing Heavenly Parents.

Divine patterns of family are like our relationship with our heavenly family.

What have you done to earn God’s love?

Nothing you can ever do can remove the love God has for you.

You can always turn to God in all that you need.

Families are evidence of the eternal, divine blessings of heaven.

Beware of the devil’s words that eternal family love is not true happiness or exaltation.

Seek to better understand God’s love for us and our families, now and forever.

When we understand God’s love, don’t put unwanted or negative interpretations on family when things are not good.

It’s not too late to come and understand God’s love for us.

His love is real.

Do you know that Jesus is the Christ?

Are you willing to stand as a witness of Christ?

Choir — “Guide Us, O Thou Great Jehovah”

Elder Patrick Kearon

Avoid sink and find lift in our spiritual journey.

Lift people in their despair and guide them into safety and peace.

The Lord wants to lift us.

Spiritual lift can’t be seen, but we can feel it.

Can you identify when you felt an undeniable spiritual lift?

Can you identify your spiritual sink?

If you’re not lifting, you are sinking spiritually. If you neglect those spiritual lifts, you are dangerously spiraling downward into darkness and despair.

The rising forces upward toward God bring joy and excitement.

We are children of the covenant, and we must do our best to lift as much as we can—for ourselves and for others.

Jesus Christ loves to lift!

Find a faithful guide to seek spiritual lift. Join those who are climbing and turn away from poor decision-making.

Keep choosing to rise into the light of God.

Taking on a bigger task that you think you couldn’t do, but felt encouraged to participate in, can sometimes be hard—but it can become easier when someone is rooting for you.

The Lord can lighten our load when we give it unto Him, especially when all else fails or when we tend to give up on ourselves.

God lifts and uplifts us even when we don’t recognize it.

Blessings sometimes materialize when we least expect them.

Ask for a helping hand from God when you are devastated or depleted. He will bring you peace and uplift you.

Run with patience.

Matthew J. Eyring

I can’t fix or solve every hard task, but we can learn through God’s love, patience, and faithfulness.

Mourn with and comfort those who stand in need of it.

We all face limitations in life.

Don’t let our challenges fix our fate.

Cast your burdens unto the Lord. Answers will come when they are needed, sometimes unexpectedly.

We will not survive life without the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost.

Do we truly appreciate God’s love?

Do I understand the depth of the Savior’s sacrifice?

Am I prepared for God’s blessings for me?

Do I have the Light of Christ within me?

Is it shown through my countenance?

Place our faith in Him who loves us—the Savior.

Elder Ronald A. Rasband

We sometimes feel that we have failed when we experience a loved one leaving the Church.

We must individually choose Jesus Christ.

The adversary’s deceit is damaging, but not all is lost if we seek God and the strength to overcome.

We can’t force others to change. Only God can.

Only God can HEAL all people.

Let us refuse what is hateful. Let us be loving and kind.

Am I judgmental toward others who have left the Church or who do not live according to gospel teachings?

Am I lost myself?

Do I understand what love is toward myself and others?

Am I willing to go to God?

Let go of any guilt.

Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved.

Pray often for yourself and others, no matter the situation or circumstances.

Is Jesus my rock and salvation?
