General Conference Oct. 2026 Sunday Mornings Session Notes
Pres. D. Todd Christofferson — Conducting
Choir: “How Firm a Foundation”
President Henry B. Eyring
Isaiah 44 — “Fear not, I am with thee.”
Life is a test. Our mortal test is hard because it will help us and strengthen us in this life. Christ has carried our sorrows and grief because He loves us.
The Lord sends us disciples to help us in our lives. Through others, the Lord sends help for our needs. God is watching over us.
Give service to those who are in need. Let us utilize the Holy Ghost, who will guide us to those who are in need of comfort and peace.
Take courage when tough times happen.

Have you shown love through your greetings toward others?
God knows our names and loves us for who we are. See others and treat them with the same love God has for us. He sees our divine potential.
Through the Atonement, we have the potential to receive divine blessings.
Do you know who you are?
Don’t let labels define who you are. Jesus can raise you above whatever labels you may have placed upon you. Jesus should be the center of your life. Seek Him, and He will guide you.
You can make a difference in the lives of others. They have great worth within them. Pray for others.
God sees you.

Jesus gave us a gift—the gift of the Atonement.
Be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Let us choose the right. Times have changed, but our spirit is the same. It may be hard to always choose the right, but let it not be too hard to know what is right to choose.
We are encouraged to choose the right. Win the battle of the soul through righteousness and faithfulness in Christ. Gather all your faith to choose what is right.
Our faith should be secure in Christ.
Is my faith secure in Christ?
Faith in Christ encourages and strengthens us to bear testimony of Him to others who may need comfort, peace, joy, and His light.

What’s in a name?
Do we have Christ’s name within us? Are we willing to offer something we have for the sake of others?
Have you given service without expecting something in return?
Are we willing to transform or change for good, or are we too stubborn?
Through our covenants, we can become closer to God and His Son.
Serve faithfully now and forever.

Do we know the character of Jesus Christ?
Have you gained love for others? Seek to emulate the Savior’s character so that we may build real love for others.
Come unto Christ and be sanctified through Him. Be perfected in Him.
Even when it’s hard, we aren’t expected to be perfect, but we should be willing to do our best.
Let go of what’s holding you back!
Deny not God’s love and protection.

Be spiritually prepared. Something could be holding us back from progressing spiritually.
Live life with integrity. Be honest with God, yourself, and others. Integrity, virtue, and happiness are things that help us become better individuals.
Let virtue garnish our thoughts. Sacrifices made in His name will be blessed. Practice Christlike conduct daily.
God loved the world and gave His Son, and He will save us.
Strive to live a virtuous life.
Repentance = Forgiveness
There is a great plan of happiness for all of us.

Avoid hateful and harsh words toward one another.
Act in faith according to the principles of the gospel.
How can you act in faith?
Avoid conflict, contention, and harsh discourse. By thy words, you will be condemned if they are bad. Our speech should be filled with grace and love.
We may have been hurt by someone, but if so, let it not define you. Such words do not edify.
Let us use language that is encouraging, respectful, loving, friendly, and peaceful.
Bury the words of discouragement and contention. Change our language to be peaceful. Repent of our harsh language toward others.
Let us use the language of respect.
Let us qualify to be peacemakers.

God gave us help in mortality through Jesus Christ. God will help us if we seek Him.
The Savior is essential in our lives. Be receptive to the will of God.
It is through covenants in Christ that we become closer, stronger, and blessed. We don’t have to be perfect, but we need to be willing.
Hesitation may occur when the time comes when you can’t partake of the sacrament. When that happens, be prepared now.
Make God a priority.
Consider your ways. If your actions aren’t aligned with God, you may be doing much for nothing.
Don’t waste time!
God will magnify our time if we are willing to listen, do, and keep our covenants.
Partake of the sacrament with humility, faith, and repentance.
Do you want to be blessed by God?

Choir: “Come, Follow Me”
President Dallin H. Oaks
This is God’s Church. Jesus is our Savior.
Come unto Him.
Be active members. We need each other’s prayers. We all have concerns we are trying to overcome. To overcome them, come closer to Christ.
Develop your faith in Christ.
We are a work in progress on the covenant path. Be patient with others and ourselves. Build faith and strengthen humility.
Wait upon the Lord, which includes trusting in His timing and His will.
God loves us all. He urges us to keep His commandments and covenants.
Never let your secular learning hold you back from progressing spiritually and physically. Work to draw closer to Christ.
Be teachable. Be willing to learn—spiritually and physically.
Simple practices will strengthen and protect us, such as going to the temple, partaking of the sacrament, constant prayer, and studying.
His grace is for all.
Gather the elect. Share the gospel—the good news.
