Choir: “Zion, Let Your Beauty Rise”

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Spiritual growth can be traumatic at first, but with faith, it can become easier to go through. The arc of discipleship can build and strengthen us with God’s love and protection.

Be a covenant people. Be desirous to be like the Savior. Bring others peacefully unto Christ. Be consistent in encouraging, uplifting, ministering with compassion, and strengthening the will of yourself and others.

Come unto Christ!

Gathering and uniting the family of God. We are ONE in Christ! Jesus has the power to change us. Come in unity and be one together, with love in Christ.

Be better and do better. The Savior encourages us to go beyond our capacity to become better. Live with the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Renew our covenants with God weekly—it is sacred.

Have Christ-centered unity in the gospel. Come and belong. As we become more united in Christ, we will be blessed and feel God’s presence.

Be united in the Savior’s way.

What are your aspirations? What are you willing to contribute to God’s work and His Church?

Partake of the sacrament with a humble heart. Repent daily and ask for forgiveness. Pray always. Study about ministering angels. Get to sleep early. Limit cell phone use. Seek friends who are striving to stay close to the Lord.

You are of great worth, and God knows you and loves you.

Ask for a priesthood blessing when you are feeling unwell or unsure. The Lord has greater power than Satan. Angels can minister unto you.

Study the 13th Article of Faith.

The importance of paying tithing can be difficult when we are facing financial problems, but it will help us prioritize and remember that God will help us.

Don’t overlook the subtle blessings God gives us when we pay tithing. Develop the gift of gratitude. God will open the windows of heaven to bless us when we least expect it.

Pay an honorable tithing. Live the law of tithing. Offer up all you have unto God, and He will bless you.

Great promises will come unto us as we stay close to God, follow Him, and obey His commandments.

Choir: “Love Will Lead Our Home”

Elder David A. Bednar

The adversity we face doesn’t mean the promises of God’s covenants are not valid. We must fix or change what is wrong.

Covenants are received through ordinances. They are spiritual credentials of heavenly purpose and blessings.

Are we obedient to the covenants we have made with God?

The Holy Spirit of Promise is part of our spiritual key to salvation and exaltation. Make our covenants valid on earth and in heaven. They can be forfeited through sin and disobedience.

Each of us should be grateful to walk in all the ordinances of the Lord and receive the Spirit of Promise.

Sealing ordinances help us receive eternal blessings through the union of marriage, but they also help us reflect on whether another person’s bad behavior is worth losing this blessing or whether we should continue striving to stay faithful to our covenants without them.

A spouse’s sins are not worth losing eternity over. No unworthy spouse can hinder the Lord’s blessings for another.

Hold fast to God’s covenants. Hold out faithfully. You will be blessed even if your spouse is not faithful.

The spirit of contention is not of Me, but of the devil. God will not stir up badness within us—only Satan would.

Are you contentious in your home or with others?

Jesus brings light, and when we turn to Him when things are tough, we will feel His love and light in our lives.

Trust in God. Pray, study the scriptures, and repent daily to overcome Satan’s plan of destruction through contention.

Receive God’s light.

Paul H. Sinclair

Quick discernment in our lives can either be good or bad if we are not careful. Be patient in the process of unorganized life issues.

A true disciple is quick to help and not judge. Be quick to offer grace, not hate.

We may face many judgmental eyes and no helping hands, but let us be humble in trusting God to help us become better and not give back hate or judgment toward others.

Be an example of goodness and love. Help transform others by looking toward their future, not their past.

Reorient our souls in Christlike ways. Seek to be holy like our Savior.

Be quick to help and not judge.

Choir: “Count Your Blessings”

Elder Gary E. Stevenson

Children have a great purpose in God’s work. Heavenly Father has given children gifts and talents to help in His work.

The Tree of Life is a wonderful analogy of God’s important message for us to reflect on spiritually.

God wants us to develop our gifts in the gospel by sharing our love for Him and His gospel.

Let us invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, just like a child. Reflect on the plan of happiness for yourself. Find ways to be more childlike in how we live life.

What is your relationship with God?

Be desirous to build your relationship with God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Live, share, and invite.

Gabriel W. Reid

“Lord, do You have the right person? Am I good enough to do Your work?”

“I will make an instrument unto Thee, Lord.”

We weren’t meant to do God’s work alone.

Do we understand what it means to be a disciple? Love the Lord and love those you teach. Have a deep and inviting faith in the Lord.

Be an example of faith and love. Follow the Master Teacher, the Savior.

Deepen your love of God and share it with those you love and those you come in contact with.

Have you pondered the words of God in your life?

Find ways to utilize the new Sunday School tasks to help yourself and others feel closer to God.

Come unto the Master Teacher. He will bless you in loving those you teach.

Elder Clark G. Gilbert

When we show love, we sometimes get misunderstood. Let us be peacemakers within ourselves and with others.

Have we looked within ourselves to see if we may be struggling with something that could hold us back from being a peacemaker?

Avoid contentious settings. Sometimes it’s hard to see clearly when tough things are right in front of us, especially when we aren’t sure how to deal with them.

“I may win the debate but lose the Spirit.”

Be careful of those moments.

Find common ground when you face troubling moments or situations. Listen and don’t intervene. Build common ground.

Be a light. Keep your covenants. Others may not keep theirs, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep yours.

Don’t condone sin. Stay anchored in Christ. Rejoice in truth.

The Lord will always help us.
