Last day in Sparks Nevada.

Hello Family!
Its been almost a week since I've been here in Reno!! and it's been amazing! Sister Loftice made it home safely back to Texas. My new companion is Sister Denning from St. George, Utah! Yes, another companion from Utah. lol She is slowly adjusting to missionary life. Its been great getting to know her and to be a part of her first experience of being a missionary. We have both been transferred into the Galena Ward and Damonte Ranch Wards which are fairly new wards here in South Reno. So its been fun learning the area together! We serve in a very wealthy part of town with a lot of gated communities and super nice homes. Its been a bit of an adjustment coming from the ghetto of Sparks. haha But its been good! Very different from any of my past areas but I'm excited and grateful to be here. Its cool that I've been given the chance to serve all different kinds of people! Its the best! I've definitely grown a different perspective and a great love for people.

We have been going around to all the members introducing ourselves and asking for referrals. They are all so nice and down to earth and we have been given a lot of people to try! We have been told this area is a hard area for finding interested people and baptizing. But I am determined to turn that around! I know that there are people in this area that God is preparing! We just have to go out and find them!

Eugenia
We were walking around the neighborhoods when we found a trail with tons of people walking their dogs. We tried talking to them but many just ignored us. And then we met Eugenia from Bolivia! She was walking her dog. She was really nice told us that she knows a lot of members from the church. She asked us if we would like to walk with her. So we did and she talked about herself and how she came here to America. She is Catholic and loves and respects what we do as missionaries. She wasn't interested in learning but we gave her our number just in case she changes her mind.

We spent our Sunday at church for 7 hours. Serving in 2 wards is a lot. But it was a lot of fun meeting all the members and meeting with the bishops. We got a lot of referrals from both of the Ward Councils so we will be busy this week trying to contact them!

Nonda and Blakely
We met with Nonda who is an inactive member and Blakely, Nonda's nonmember daughter who is about 30 years old. They were so nice and mentioned how they want to come to church. We scheduled to meet regularly with them every Thursday. We hope to teach Blakely the lessons and get her baptized!

Maria!
We decided to visit Maria who is a less active member of the church. She was so happy to see us and ran to get her phone to give us her friends address who is not member. it was a cool miracle. We are excited to visit all the people we have been given!

FEAST!
So this week is Thanksgiving! And your all probably getting ready to feast on all the good food! haha but just a reminder to remember what the Prophet Nephi taught. on what we should be feasting on. in 2 Nephi 32:3 it says to "FEAST UPON THE WORDS OF CHRIST. Wherefore, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do." I know that as we take time to feast spiritually, We will be better guided on what we need to do in our lives."

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Me and Sister Denning
