Mike is doing better and progressing well with his right leg mobility. He is hoping to be released next week. I'm so happy for him and in his health progression. It was nice visiting him and bringing some lunch from Arby's. Sometimes we all need good company to get through the hard times. I am truly grateful to be able to be there for those who may need a pick me up moment or a visit or two. May we all do more good things daily, because life is short when let the negative things get to us and forget about the good things in life. Embrace the moment and be grateful of your life. It's the last Friday and Temple shift for Mika and I for 2022. The next time we work at the Temple will be next year. I had a wonderful day but felt a bit unwell. Bad headaches, dizziness, nausea and tiredness. As I was feeling those things, my body was ached with weakness of the bones. I don't know why it was happening to me, so I went to the 3rd floor near the veil to look for Mika. I felt prompted to ask him for a priesthood blessing when we get home. He agreed to do it and he said that he was also feeling stuffy in his sinus and maybe getting sick. So we continue on our duties in the temple. Honestly, it was hard for me throughout my shift but I prayed for help and strength to get through this day. And I made it. I had a wonderful experience in Initiatories. A kind older lady brought family names and it was her last family card name she was doing. I felt an overwhelming feeling of the Holy Spirit that I was crying with such emotion. Even she felt the Love of Christ during this session, that she gave me a big hug in thanking me for bringing the Light and love of God at this time. This made me feel genuinely grateful for this opportunity of showing God's Light and Love to anyone who comes to the Temple. One of the best kind of moments I have experienced weekly. Overall it was a tough time for me physically but it was strengthening spiritually. After our shift, we went home and Mika gave me a wonderful priesthood blessing of healing and comfort. As I was eating dinner and relaxing, I could feel my body slowly getting better, to the point that I feel asleep. Literally I went to sleep for an hour and I am feeling better. Thank you Father in Heaven for blessing me to get better and given me strength to endure the sickness that had stricken me these past few days. Thank you for sending the Holy angels for watching over me and bringing peace into my life. I hope and pray that each of you out there are blessed and safe. Have a wonderful New Year weekend.

 

I bought a few things at the store yesterday to make meals with before the next storm comes in. And I made spinach omelets for me and Mika for lunch. It taste good to Mika and it was big. I was filled and content with my green smoothie. Now I am gonna relax and enjoy the rest of the day. Stay warm everyone.

Since this past Christmas, Mika was thinking about going on a Disney cruise. Once started looking at different cruises and places the cruise would go, the wanted to go on the new cruise line called the Wish. It's bigger and more things in it. Plus going to the Bahamas is part of the package. He also thought of our girls/nieces, Jenny's daughters, Talia, Jj and Faith. We couldn't go to a Disney cruise without them. This got him planning and looking through a few YouTube videos of the Wish ship and people perspective Bout this cruise line. It made us pretty excited about making this legit. After talking about it for the past few days, Mika finally called Jenny and told her about this vacation in 2024. They discussed money, who to include in our vacations and travel. With all the back and forth discussions, Mika figured that it would be cheaper and better to go to Disneyland instead of the cruise. Also to include Olimpia and her family to join us. Mika told Jenny that we would pay for ourselves plus Faith, Ava, Manama, Aurea, Analaïa and Makoa. And everyone else would pay for themselves. Jenny liked the idea and will talked with her family about it and will let us know if they want to join us or not. We will see what the outcome will be and I will keep you updated. It's been 2 years since I started working at the Hampton hotel part-time to help my sister-in-law and it has been nice. From setting up meeting space to laundry attendant. It has been nice to have a bit of spending money from working part-time. I like having some spending money for things I would need since it's been tough with my health and trying to work full time. Today I'd my last workday of 2022 and my body was not feeling well but I pulled through. Feeling a bit dizzy and having a massive headache whenever I look at my phone. So during my shift, I just paced myself doing laundry. To some, they would think that doing this type of job is a low-class style and embarrassing but to me it's therapeutic. Just me organizing, cleaning, washing, and drying linens, towels, and blankets. Everyone needs clean clothes and so do hotel guests. The next time you stay at a hotel, be mindful and kind to those who work there. It's not an easy job to run things there. Having clean things at your disposal doesn't just appear in thin air. Nope. Hard-working people get it done for you. Stay classy as you respect those who prepared things for you. If it weren't for them, you wouldn't have a nice and clean place to stay. My appreciation goes out to all the hard-working people out in the world, trying to make ends meet to provide for their families. May God bless, protect and help you in your life. Whoa what a night! Staying up has its ups and downs, but I ain't complaining. I went to be around 2 am and thought I would be fine, sleep in for a bit and then do something, but instead I slept in till 4 pm! Mika is still sleeping and I am gonna let him sleep cause he would only sleep for work like 3-5 hours. So to me his body needs to catch up on his rest. Anyways, I gonna do some last minute shopping for our place before the next big winter storm comes through tomorrow morning. TTYL.

 

 

 

After a wonderful and short sacrament meeting, which Mika had to conduct and bare his Testimony of Jesus Christ, we went to Dennys to eat lunch. Mika nor I wanted to cook, so we made it simple for the both of us by having someone else to cook for us on this Holiday season. I hope yall had a fantastic and joyful Christmas. Ever since I could remember, Almond Roca was a sweet treat that my Mom would snack on during the Holidays, her birthday and when its some special occasion. Now that I am older, I am starting to crave for it more often then usual. Eating it makes me have a big ole smile inside because I am thinking about my Mom and the fond memories I have of her snacking on it. This makes me feel a bit closer to her when I see it at the store or whenever I eat it. If you like toffee and nuts, this is a yummy sweet treat that you will enjoy. Happy snacking everyone!
