Spiritual Thought in the Temple: I am on my own today working at the Temple and Hymn 165 & 243

Today is a different day to go to work at the Temple. Since Mika has started with this new job/venture, he has been extremely busy with zoom meeting, outbound calls and scheduling, that he couldn't make it to the temple. It was weird going by myself but it didn't bother me too much. Since I've been working all week and driving to do my serves and work at the Hotel. I mentioned to Mika that regauof this new job trying to make more mo ey, he still needs to do his spiritual work too. This is a great reminder to always focus on God's work that he may make our regular work go smoothly and successfully. Have a blessed day everyone.

This hymn message stood out to me during preparation meeting. It is found on page 165 & 243 of the hymn book.

Abide with me; Tis eventide (#165)

Abide with me; ’tis eventide.

The day is past and gone;

The shadows of the evening fall;

The night is coming on.

Within my heart a welcome guest,

Within my home abide.

O Savior, stay this night with me;

Behold, ’tis eventide.

O Savior, stay this night with me;

Behold, ’tis eventide.

Abide with me; ’tis eventide.

Thy walk today with me

Has made my heart within me burn,

As I communed with thee.

Thy earnest words have filled my soul

And kept me near thy side.

O Savior, stay this night with me;

Behold, ’tis eventide.

O Savior, stay this night with me;

Behold, ’tis eventide.

Abide with me; ’tis eventide,

And lone will be the night

If I cannot commune with thee

Nor find in thee my light.

The darkness of the world, I fear,

Would in my home abide.

O Savior, stay this night with me;

Behold, ’tis eventide.

O Savior, stay this night with me;

Behold, ’tis eventide.

Let Us All Press On (#243)

Let us all press on in the work of the Lord,

That when life is o’er we may gain a reward;

In the fight for right let us wield a sword,

The mighty sword of truth.

(SA): Fear not, though the enemy deride;

Courage, for the Lord is on our side.

We will heed not what the wicked may say,

But the Lord alone we will obey.

(TB): Fear not, courage, though the enemy deride.

We must be victorious, for the Lord is on our side.

We’ll not fear the wicked nor give heed to what they say,

But the Lord, our Heav’nly Father, him alone we will obey.

We will not retreat, though our numbers may be few

When compared with the opposite host in view;

But an unseen pow’r will aid me and you

In the glorious cause of truth.

(SA): Fear not, though the enemy deride;

If we do what’s right we have no need to fear,

For the Lord, our helper, will ever be near;

In the days of trial his Saints he will cheer,

And prosper the cause of truth.

(SA): Fear not, though the enemy deride;
