This week was GREAT! A lot has happened. Its starting to cool down and the air is getting better!

KARL!
We have finished all of Karl's lessons required for baptism! Karl had his baptismal interview with our District Leader a couple days ago and things are looking good! Karl and Cayden's baptism will be held on Saturday morning and we are so excited for them! Pictures coming soon!!

John!
So we've been meeting with John for a few weeks now and he came to church with us for the first time yesterday!! He overall enjoyed it. There were a lot of kids that were crying and making noise and the parents didn't do much about it so it was kind of annoying but John said he actually liked how the kids weren't shoved in the corner like some of the churches he has been too. He said he enjoyed the service and we were able to introduce him to a lot of the members! We have our next lesson with him on Tuesday :)))

Amber!
Amber is a inactive member of the church who we've been meeting with. Her son, Hunter is the one who attacked and bit me a couple months ago smh. lol but anyways, she came to church yesterday!!!!! For the first time in 15 years!!! She said it was so good to be back. She was scared to bring her boys because she didn't want them dropping the F bomb during sacrament and attacking the other kids. But they stayed pretty good. Hunter who is 7 years old wanted to go to nursery and he had a blast there. We had Brother Francis watch Hunter so he didn't attack the kids while we took Amber to class. She kept saying it was good to be back and she plans of coming again next week!

"No Juan's here"
We went to try a less active member named Juan. A lady answered and said, "No Juans here" and slammed the door. It was funny.

Sister Forkas
Sister Forkas is an older lady we've also been meeting with. She is a less active member who hates kids. The kids are the reason why she doesn't go to church. But she came to church yesterday!!! It was a miracle but then she said it was terrible because the kids were so loud. We plan to teach her the importance of why we go to church and focus on the sacrament. She said she will try to sit in the front next time. lol

Patty!
We taught Patty the importance of studying the scriptures, She had a couple questions about who the Nephites and the Lamanites were. We were able to teach her more about the Book of Mormon and also what the Pearl of Great Price and Doctrine and covenants are. She is still doing super good. We also went over the articles of faith and she liked it. We just have a few more lessons to go!! We are counting down the days until her baptism!!! 27 more days!

Bob!
So we met Bob a couple weeks ago and we were able to have our first lesson with him this week! he said that right after he talked to us the first time, he went online to read more about our faith. He asked a lot of questions pertaining the structure of our church. We were able to teach him the Restoration and gave him a book of mormon to read. He said he will read and pray about it. He talks a lot about his wife that had passed from Cancer and said he hopes to see her again. We were able to testify of the Plan of Salvation and taught briefly what happens after we die. We had a great lesson and the spirit was strong. He had to go but invited us back on sunday.

We were able to go yesterday to his home again and we brought Brother and Sister Lee with us who lives near him. They got a long really well and they have a lot in common. But then Bob told us that he is not interested in learning anymore. He said its a big commitment for him to continue learning and that he is still grieving his wife's death. It was sad but he is just not ready yet. We still plan to visit him now and then. We will continue to keep him in our prayers.

No Scott
We went to try a less active member named Scott and it turns out he moved. But the man who answered the door was really nice and asked us what we were doing. We told him we help others come closer to Jesus Christ and he respects what we do. He is a Christian and Loves god but not interested in our message. He was super nice and we gave him a book of mormon! #seedplanted

Don
We met Don one day while walking in front of his home a couple weeks ago. He said we could come back in a couple weeks. a couple weeks past and so we decide to go a knock on his door. He was home and  we talked outside for a while and had a great lesson about the Plan of Salvation! It was so good. The spirit was there and Don cried! He said he never has heard of anything like it. He didn't know what happened before we came here to earth and he was just so happy and knew what we were saying is true. He kept saying, "That makes so much sense!" haha it was great! He had to get to a doctors appointment but invited us to come back another time. He asked about our church service and asked us what the process is for becoming a member of the church. It was so cool! We are excited to go back to teach him more!!!!!!!!!

We painted again for a member who just moved in our ward. It was super fun
Sister Heninger
We decided to spend our Pday last Monday with a less active member who we have been working with named Sister Heninger. She was put in the hospital a couple of weeks ago due to an accident. She had fractured her back. We drove up to Carson to see her and she was so happy to see us. She doesn't have any family close to her. We were able to read in the book of Mormon with her and left her with a prayer. It was so great visiting with her! She is a wonderful woman.
