(a random pic with Elvis just because)

I have loved serving here in Gardnerville/Walker and I have loved serving with Sister Squire! But as it says in Alma 22:4, the Lord has called me another way. I will be getting transferred to Sparks, NV to serve in the El Rancho Ward with Sister Loftice. I am excited to serve there! I've heard a lot of great things. I will also be an STL over the Sisters in Reno/Sparks.

Blitz in Walker with the Carson River Sisters!
We did a blitz in Walker, California! A blitz is where all 4 sisters serve in one area for 24 hours. We had so much fun! I was with Sister Minton! My companion in Fallon! and Sister Squire went with Sister Veikoso. We talked to lots of people.

We had lunch at the famous Walker Burger! Everyone always talks about how good it is. Its in the top for Nevada's best burger so we decided to check it out. It was pretty good. I give it a 9 out of 10. haha

Flat tire miracle.
So goat heads are real and we call them Devil heads. I got 3 flat tires this week because of them. So the first time it went flat, We are already running late to our dinner appointment and we were trying to walk back to our car but it was taking too long. finally I decided just to knock on a random door and this man who looked like a big tough biker dude came out and helped us. He got out his air compressor and filled up my tire. We thanked him and gave him an opportunity to hear the messages that we share but he wasn't interested. He was nice and we were able to make it back to our car to go to our dinner appointment.

and then on our blitz in Walker, Sister Minton and I rode bikes all day trying less actives and potential people to teach. We ended up in the middle of nowhere when my tire decided to pop. It was hot, we ran out of water, and the nearest house was back another 2 miles or so. We said a prayer and decided to walk back with our bikes to the nearest home. We knocked on the door and no one answered so we looked on the map to find the nearest member. We saw that the Remmington family was another mile or so. so we walked to their house and they were home! They were able to give us some water and they gave us a ride back to our car! It was quite a day but we had so much fun! That experience grew us closer together!

Our Branch President, President Stockton and his wife took us to Bridgeport, California after church yesterday which is the furthest part of our area. (2 hours from Gardnerville). They went to visit a less active member in the prison while Sister Squire and I biked to try some other less actives. We met the Inwood family and they let us in their home and they wouldn't stopped talking. It probably because they live in the middle of no where and hardly get visitors lol but Brother Inwood was the 2nd counselor in the Branch but he completely fell away. it was sad. He said that he doesn't need church in his life and that his church is within the walls of his own home. We invited them to watch general conference and they said they would watch it. so that was good. but other than that, they are not planning on coming back to church any time soon.

No Pday sports.
Our mission president is making a lot of changes. We have been informed that from now on, missionaries cannot leave their areas on Pday. I was really sad to hear this because I love seeing all the missionaries in my zone and play sports with them. But I know that President Godoy has been inspired to do this. I know that it will help us be more focused on the Lord and on his work.

We gave talks in sacrament meeting yesterday in the Walker Branch about the Holy Spirit. It was interesting because no one was there. There were less than 20 people lol But it was good!

Tim.
We met Tim while we were walking. He was walking his poodle. He makes crosses and sells them online. He said he is religious and already attends a church. But we had a great conversation with him about God. He was really nice.
 our stop at Topaz Lake

dinner with the Cloningers. They have a hedgehog named sonic

We met Tim. his poodle was very well trained.
this is Brother Pittam and he's our favorite member!
